Product description
History:Â Other than the jaguar, the mountain lion is the largest cat found in the New World. They are classified as a species of least concern on the conservation status spectrum, and actually have the largest range of any land animal in the Americas. However, due to the ever increasing level of human development and the resulting habitat fragmentation, mountain lion populations are beginning to become isolated from one another.
Scientific Name:Â Puma concolor
Characteristics: Although mountain lions have no known predator, they often compete with bears and wolves for food. With that in mind, we’re sure this mountain lion toy figurine would appreciate a spot on your desk or nightstand as well as a meal to itself!
Size:Â 2.5 inches tall and 5.5 inches long, this mountain lion toy figurine is slightly larger than a soda can resting on its side.
The Mountain Lion is part of the Wild Safari® North American Wildlife collection
